1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies when you use the Finance Astery website, account system, calculators, goals, learning tools, feedback features and AI guidance features. Finance Astery is currently an independently operated project. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to financeastery@gmail.com.
2. Information we process
Account information
If you create an account, we process your email address, account identifier, display name and sign-in provider. Google sign-in may also provide basic profile information such as your name and profile image, according to the permissions shown by Google.
Information you choose to save
This may include financial goals, target and saved amounts, monthly plans, deadlines, calculator inputs and results, lesson progress, preferences and feedback. These are planning figures you enter; Finance Astery does not connect to or read your bank or investment accounts.
Technical information
Hosting, authentication and security providers may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, authentication events, cookies and diagnostic logs needed to operate and protect the service.
Guest mode
Guest-mode planning data remains in temporary browser memory and is not intentionally saved to a Finance Astery account or cloud database. It is cleared when the temporary session ends or the page is reloaded.
3. How information is used
- Provide authentication, account access and cloud saving.
- Run calculators, goals, learning tools and progress features you request.
- Protect the service, prevent abuse and troubleshoot failures.
- Respond to support, privacy and feedback messages.
- Improve clarity, reliability and accessibility using aggregated or appropriately limited feedback.
Finance Astery does not sell personal information or use financial planning entries for third-party advertising.
4. AI guidance
When Astery AI is activated and you choose to use it, your question and the minimum relevant planning context may be sent through a protected server-side function to an AI service provider to generate an educational response. Finance Astery does not intentionally send your password, authentication token or account email as AI context. Do not enter sensitive identity, banking, card, UPI or account credentials into AI prompts.
5. Service providers and international processing
Finance Astery relies on providers such as Lovable for hosting, Supabase for authentication and database services, Google for optional sign-in, and OpenAI only when Astery AI is activated. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. Their systems may process data in countries outside your own, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
6. Retention and deletion
Account and saved workspace information is generally kept while it is needed to provide the service or meet security and legal obligations. You can delete individual goals and saved results inside the app. To request access, correction, account deletion or deletion of remaining personal information, email financeastery@gmail.com. Reasonable identity verification may be required before completing a request.
7. Security
Finance Astery uses access controls, authenticated requests, Supabase Row Level Security and server-side handling for private AI credentials. No internet service can promise absolute security, so users should use a unique password and avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information.
8. Young users
Age ranges
Finance Astery is available to users aged 10 and older and is not intended for children under 10. The service asks users to select an age range—10–12 or 13 and older—but does not request or store a birth date. Users under 10 must not create an account or submit personal information.
Users aged 10–12
Before a user aged 10–12 may create or use a saved workspace, Finance Astery sends a secure approval link to the parent or legal guardian email supplied for that purpose. Until approval is completed, the child cannot enter the workspace and Finance Astery does not intentionally collect the child’s planning data. Guest mode is unavailable for this age range.
The guardian flow processes the guardian’s email address through Supabase Authentication to deliver and verify the secure link. The consent record stores a one-way hash of that email, the approval status and timestamps, and identifiers that securely connect the approval to one guardian account and one child account. Finance Astery does not ask for identity documents, payment-card checks or a child’s exact birth date in this flow.
Users aged 13 or older
Finance Astery does not require separate guardian permission solely because a user is aged 13–17. Where applicable law requires a different digital-consent age or additional guardian consent for particular processing, the legally required protection still applies.
Guardian choices
A guardian may ask to review or delete the child’s information, prevent further collection, or withdraw approval by emailing financeastery@gmail.com. Finance Astery may verify that the request comes from the approving guardian. Withdrawal may lock the child account while deletion or another lawful resolution is completed. Pending approval contact information is retained only as reasonably needed to complete the request and expired records are eligible for deletion.
The service should never be used to submit government identity numbers or financial account credentials.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to understand, access, correct or delete personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance. Contact financeastery@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge privacy or grievance requests within seven days and provide a substantive response within thirty days, subject to the nature of the request and applicable law.
10. Updates
This policy may change as the product, providers or legal requirements develop. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice.
